Good to the Core Part 2: The Bento Edition
And now, one of my favorite bento lunches to date, and it’s totally Core friendly!
I’d stopped posting these bentos, because it was all I’ve been posting lately, but today’s came out so lovely, I couldn’t resist. This is one of my newer bento box containers. I really should have taken a picture of the closed box, because it’s a really pretty wood texture pattern on it. And it comes with an inner lid with a neat little pair of chopsticks, which will be nice when I pack sushi or oriental foods for lunch.
The contents you see are:
- pork loin chop, sauteed with herbs and spices, then sliced thin for presentation
- brown and wild rice medley
- steamed broccoli
- raspberries, blackberries, and red grapes
- (not pictured) single serve cup of “No Sugar Added” mandarin oranges
Best. Lunch. Ever. Well, or at least in a while. It’s so weird, but the presentation really does make a difference to the enjoyment of the food. In any case, it was thoroughly enjoyed, and makes me want to put more time into the presentation on these things in the future.
